The aim of Kabalega was to create an identity for a new territory claiming its independence.
This project is the result of a five-day workshop with graphic and type designer Jan Horcik, as part of my Master in Type Design at l’ecal. I explored the territory through google street view in order to find clues for the design of the identity, which was then applied to a flag, a lettering, a poster and a cardboard elephant souvenir. Together with my coursemate Nicolas Bernklau, we designed a catalog to showcase the result of the weeklong workshop.
