Kitchen disobedience
revisits the form of the cookbook.
The aim was to go past the traditionally fixed form of the cookbook. Responding to the contemporary way of cooking and sharing, it takes the form of a website. The first layer is a carefully curated collection of recipes from my uncle Giampiero. An exercice in summarizing and getting down on paper years of mouth to ear cooking, from mum to son, to niece, to friends accross different countries. All recipes have a simple structure and interchangeable ingredients. They fit into the phone’s screen so you can cook without having to touch your phone. The other layer is interactive. It opens up the discussion around the recipe and collects different opinions and takes on the recipes, building an archive that becomes an augmented and everchanging recipe.
